JOB TITLE: Paraprofessional

 

REPORTS TO: Principal and Teacher(s) Assigned

 

DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Assigned Campus

 

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist teacher in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Must have 2 years (48 hours) of college or pass a local equivalency exam prior to hiring. Must have valid paraprofessional certification through SBEC; Ability to work well with students and staff; Ability to communicate effectively
